Subject: Mediaxsolutions - New server
Today marks the First day of compliant working on behalf of my server.

I have setup CentOS which is running my Apache Vhosts, FTP(although I have it off by default), and webmail to come next I hope.

Right now there are two ways to my server:

http://www.mediaxsolutions.com
and
http://24.113.178.139/

Going to the url will bring you to my temporary business page. Going directly to the IP will tell you NO! with some nice wordage and a log in area that takes you to my private sector.

This server is ready and willing to partake in any projects it is in need of. Current Daily proc usage is at .02% so it's more then ready to be used!

Also going to be running a campaign to try and boost sales:

Nice to hear you got it running!

The links on the ip-address page are missing a http:// in front, that's why they don't work.
I suggest you also sell "my website + my domain name" packs that you offer to set-up. Lots of ppl want their own domain nowadays without wanting to struggle with DNS stuff ;-)

I hope you will get a lot of clients for this :-p

In the upcoming releases, we could mirror Arkana-FTS downloads and updates (when you make the updater) at your server if you want and advertise eachother. But we still have quite some time until our next release

I have been working slowly on getting something to show for learning c++ I have been trying to read and practice at least 3 times a week now. Had to spend some quality time with my server to get it going, but now my focus is slightly less divided.

I posted a question in the technical portion and thought I would do an update.

I just setup a new site for http://www.thejonestheory.com and working on getting a blog setup their. can't seem to find the blog system I want to use yet.

Got my-sql working on the server.
Got php-mysql intsalled.
Got openx Installed.

Now I'm trying to get my files to run properly from C++ to linux (I know it's easier then I'm making it)

I have been working on #!/bin/bash scripts for the last two days. Will be happy when I can get my damned C++ to run on the server.

If my updates are annoying. Just let me know :) going to do an update in the section about the update program now....

Your updates are welcome ;-)

As I said in the other post, it's easiest to compile under linux.

Well last night I put up the first official post for "The Jones Theory: 30 minutes to a better blog".

The Introduction to the blog series/book is located at http://www.thejonestheory.com/blogposts/introduction.php

Have also made a few changes through out site.

Each part of site is now broken down: (should of done this during design stage. but i just decided to do it this way now that content of pages is growing and some form of organization is needed.)
Header
Content
Ads
footer

Each section is located in its own file and php included to build the final page.

Also, although its a little bit more work, I have decided to not go with a blogging application and decided to do everything by hand. Had a lot of difficulty trying to integrate my website with the blog.

if you guys have any suggestions on the site, look, spelling, ads, content. Pictures? anything. Please give me your feed back.

Thanks guys!

I'd put the main text somewhat more to the left, currently on my notebook it looks like it's more right than the middle, I'd either align it to the middle or more to the left. We all but the Arabic ppl are used to start at the left ;-) I think putting a delimiter between the sections and the main text would help a lot.

Also, I'd put some hover effect to the buttons, this always looks good and makes the page seem more reactive.

The design seems to fit the theme well, just the "Sections" word doesn't seem to fit, either you need to make it more special or leave it away.

And writing your own blog engine can become a very tedious task, I started it once. If you just need the basics, it's pretty straightforward though and you can learn a lot from that experience.

Have fun.

Thanks for the feedback.

The blog page is still kinda half assed. haven't put a lot of work into it since I'm still fiddling around with how the blogging will work. I have basically decided to do everything by hand. For now that seems like the best choice.

Will tighten the page up a little. and remove the lonely word! lol
